Madam Glam // Plum Addict (#94)
Hi guys, today I have another Madam Glam gel polish to show you.
For this manicure, I followed the steps described in my tutorial. I had no issue with the gel polishes used. Because of my work, I only had this mani on for the weekend so I can't tell if it lasts 3 to 4 weeks but it definitely survived the hair washing unlike nail polishes that always chip.
Plum Addict was the first gel polish I tried, but I don't think I did a bad job. I thought gel polishes would look more thick on the nails but I can't really see a difference compared to usual nail polishes. The top gel is awesome, the finish is so shiny!
The only negative point for me with gel polish is that you have to use acetone to remove it. I don't like acetone and I only use acetone-free removers. Acetone is sold in DIY stores and in the dangerous products section of grocery stores. When you use it, you have to wear a mask and gloves (!), so of course the idea of doing the foil method with pure acetone kinda scares me. In my opinion, gel polish is great to have perfect nails for few days or weeks, but only for rare occasions, like vacations away from home when you know you won't have time to do your nails there or if you don't want to (or can't) bring your nail polishes in your luggage.
You can purchase these soak-off gel polishes from Madam Glam. They retail at $19.95. And for my dear readers, use the code YT30OFF at check out to get 30% off ;)
